Pastured Chicken

Here at Springwood we insist on growing the best 100% organic and pastured chicken we can. We want the best for our family and wish to share this goodness with our supporters. We feed the same 100% certified organic and locally sourced grain to our chickens that are used for the larger turkey flocks and move our portable chicken coop 2X per day on dairy quality grass pastures to keep the chickens clean and grass appetizing.

With a recent portable coop expansion we now are able to grow more than need only for our own use. We only produce one batch each spring and fall with the slaughter dates being June and late September. Each chicken is sold as a whole bird dressed, vacuum packed, and ready for your freezer. Current price is $5 per pound. Average size can vary between flocks but is usually in the 5-6 lb dressed weight range. We do give a 2.5% discount on orders of 10 or more and a 5% discount on orders of 20 or more – while supplies last.
